Challenge

  • Creation of the brand and graphics for the first international Ski tournament for Brazilians.

  • We aimed to visually distinguish the nationality of the participants while seamlessly integrating the design into the visual universe of the sport.

  • As well as reference the tournament location (Courchevel) and its characteristic geography.

  • All in hopes to develop a brand and visual identity that signifies the inaugural edition of the tournament and that could be graphically adapted for subsequent event editions.

Inspiration

  • Vintage French and Swiss Ski Posters.

  • Color palette inspired by mountains and snow.

  • An icon of Brazilian culture and one of the symbols of Brazil, the Christ the Redeemer statue.

Solution

  • Combine Christ the Redeemer (Brasil) with skiing.

  • Creation of a symbol that unmistakably identifies Ski and the nationality of its participants (Brazil).

  • Blend the color palette of the Courchevel region (blue, snow, mountain) with the colors of the Brazilian flag.

Results

  • Iconic identification of the tournament for local ski participants and for participants of different nationalities
